The Baroque mansion in Beltinci, surrounded by an expansive park, is a cultural jewel of the region. Built in the 16th century, with its arcaded corridors and towers, it was once the center of aristocratic life. Today, it hosts numerous cultural events while preserving its rich historical heritage.
Beltinci Castle is one of the most important castle complexes in the Prekmurje region. Its origins date back to the 16th century, when it was built by the Bánffy counts. In the 17th century, it was transformed into a Baroque residence, while preserving the Renaissance structure with its arcaded corridors and characteristic Pannonian architecture.
Later, it was owned by the noble families Széchényi, Csáky, Ebergényi, Wimpffen, and Zichy. Three cylindrical towers with conical roofs still stand at the corners, and beneath the castle stretch mysterious underground passages—one leading to a granary from 1754, the other to the parish church.
The castle was once the center of aristocratic life and cultural activity. Today, it has been restored and opens its doors as a cultural center, where visitors can explore exhibitions and historical collections and feel the pulse of a rich past that still lives within its ancient walls.
Creative camps for children are also held at the castle on two occasions.
